How fast can we get started?
The AIDA free trial is 7 days of the full product, installed on your own server — no credit card required. After 7 days you buy the one-time license or let the trial expire; nothing to cancel. The Autafy Setup service typically takes 48 hours from payment to handoff, and Custom Automation builds are scoped on a call and usually begin within 3–5 business days.
Do I need a server to use AIDA?
For AIDA Lifetime: yes — AIDA runs on your own server, which keeps your data yours. A small VPS (4 GB RAM minimum, roughly $5–10/month from Hetzner, DigitalOcean, or Vultr) is all it takes. Prefer not to pay monthly at all? Oracle Cloud's Always Free tier can host AIDA at no cost — it's a little more technical to set up, but great if you're comfortable in a cloud console. And if any of this sounds daunting, the Autafy Setup service ($697) includes full server setup — we handle everything. For Custom Automation builds, it depends on the workflow; some run entirely in the cloud without a personal server.
What AI model / API key do I need?
We recommend starting with OpenRouter — it gives you access to a wide range of models from one API key, so you're not locked into a single provider. You can also use your own key with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI or Ollama Cloud, or run free local models with Ollama or LM Studio. When choosing a model, look for ones that are strong in tool calling and support text, files, and images. Autafy has tested several models and they all work well with AIDA. You pay your AI provider directly — no markup from us, and you only ever pay for what you use. We'll walk you through setup if needed.
What if I need something that isn't on your services page?

Is there a refund policy?
AIDA comes with a 7-day free trial — no card required — so you can fully evaluate it before paying. Because of that, all license purchases are final and non-refundable. The AIDA Lifetime license is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Setup service fees are non-refundable once work has begun (we'll confirm scope before starting). Custom Automation builds are scoped and quoted before any payment.
