For the Self-Hosted plan: yes, you'll need a VPS (a $5–10/month server from Hetzner, DigitalOcean, or Vultr works great). If that sounds daunting, the Autafy Setup service ($497) includes server setup — we handle everything. For Custom Automation builds, it depends on the workflow; some run entirely in the cloud without a personal server.

AIDA works with OpenAI (GPT-4o is recommended), Anthropic (Claude), Google Gemini, or any OpenAI-compatible API. Getting an API key takes about 2 minutes — you sign up, add a payment method, and copy your key. Most small business users spend $2–5/month in API costs. We'll walk you through it if needed.
